IC²S² in Amsterdam in July 2019

The International Conference on Computational Social Science, abbreviated IC²S² 2019, will be held at the University of Amsterdam from July 17 to 20, 2019. Eelke Heemskerk and I are, together with many other organizers, extremely enthusiastic and excited about bringing this large conference to the Netherlands. More information will follow soon!

ABOUT ME
I am an associate professor at LIACS, the computer science and AI department of Faculty of Science of Leiden University. My research interest is in network science, in particular methods and algorithms for analyzing (social) network data, with applications in economics, science studies and computational social science.

Currently, I am head of the Leiden Computational Network Science research group, academic co-director of the Dutch POPNET research platform for population-scale social network analysis and board member (former chair) of the Dutch Network Science Society. I am director of education of the LIACS bachelor programmes Informatica (Computer Science) and Data Science & Artificial Intelligence. I teach courses on competitive programming and social network analysis.
